Football and Music. That’s about it

And Cov lose their first cup final of the season. #avfc

[VillaFanDan @VillaFanDan]

Absolutely dreadful from the Villa. Slow sloppy and indecisive. Like a pre season game. #avfc

[VillaFanDan @VillaFanDan]

Gutted to see Ollie go but if the rumours are true and Ollie will go from £150k pw at Villa to getting £450k pw tax free can anyone really begrudge him. #avfc

26/27 ready. Stay calm and believe! #UTV

Aston Villa and Newcastle have become threats to Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool and now the FFP rules the “Red Cartel” clubs were so keen to implement have destroyed both clubs in one transfer window.

Aston Villa:

👋 Rogers - GONE
👋 Digne - GONE
👋 Tielemans - GONE
⏳ Konsa - GOING
⏳ Watkins - GOING
⏳ Martinez - GOING

Newcastle:

👋 Guimaraes - GONE
👋 Tonali - GONE
👋 Gordon - GONE
⏳Woltemade - GOING
⏳Hall - GOING

Once a team gets themselves into position to threaten success, FFP destroys them and they need to start again.

Villa and Newcastle having to sell their best players this summer.

Those financial rules really starting to pay off...

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Football needs to reevaluate its rules on finances. Teams being forced to sell their best players damages everything that is good about the competition. It’s killing the hopes, dreams and ambition of every club except the elite.

[ben @benhatesnufc]

No coincidence it’s happened to Newcastle and Villa, two of the most competitive teams over the last few years who dared threaten the ‘big 6’ with a trophy and multiple European qualifications, now ripped apart and we’re supposed to believe it’s a fair league 👍

[VillaFanDan @VillaFanDan]

Disappointed to lose that but lots of positives to take from it. Well played lads #Avfc

[VillaFanDan @VillaFanDan]
