Today a legend has passed away. Dikembe Mutombo was a legend of the game in the NBA and a legend of the Democratic Republic of Congo. He has inspired and given hope to an entire generation of young Congolese people all over the world. We grew up watching the NBA, because of him. We took pride in our origins, because of him. He showed us that we could dream big and be successful. He showed us to cherish our roots. Not only in words, but also in action. The Dikembe Mutombo Foundation does immense humanitarian work in the DRC, focussing on improving health and quality of life. He will be missed. My thoughts go out to his family and loved ones. RIP. 🇨🇩

I am filled with gratitude for having been a part of the Burnley FC family for 2 seasons. I am humbled by the role I was given in the rich history of this beautiful club and I am really proud of what we have achieved together, in good and bad days. To everyone at the club, from owners to players and staff: you have been amazing. And most importantly to all the fans and the entire Burnley community: I cannot thank you enough for always being there, through thick and thin. You are the solid rock this club is built on. Saddened to hear of the passing of Francis Lee today, aged 79. I had the honour of meeting him and speaking to him on more than a few occasions and will cherish these moments. I would like to express my sincere condolences to the entire family and to all his loved ones. RIP

What incredible moments we’ve lived lately. First the promotion to the @premierleague. Then the EFL award for Championship MOTS. And this week we crowned ourselves Champions of the league with two more games to play. We can be very proud of our work at @BurnleyOfficial this season.

My gratitude goes out to this exceptional group of players and to my dedicated staff. Many thanks also to the owners of the club, the non-sport staff and the fantastic Burnley fans for having created such a warm, welcoming and supporting environment.
