Since 2’s players are on the ball more often in 2’s, they will naturally be inclined to want to go for the ball/stay on it more. With duo queuers, they will want to play with each other, not you. At that point you have to play 3rd man to win most of the time.
You have to think about the general playstyle of 2’s mains and how that transitions into their 3’s gameplay. 2’s mains are harder to play with in 3’s because they aren’t used to 3v3 rotations. From how I see it, that’s playing 3rd man more often, especially with duo queuers.
I see a lot of people arguing "I don't want to play 3s, people are bad at it" or "It's harder to understand 2 people on your team" yeah... I know... that's the point 😅 Maybe as a community we'll learn how to position better and actually pass!
I always knew 3v3 had more value than the pro scene let on. It teaches you how to play with 3 players instead of 2 and how to position in certain 3v3 scenarios you don't get when playing 2's. Not learning this puts you at a certain level of disadvantage in 3v3 rlcs.
Can we start a movement to make 3v3 the main ranked mode instead of 2s?
We're stuck in an endless paradox of "no one plays 3s because no one plays 3s"
We as a community have to agree 3v3 is the place we need to start playing
