It's just an intermediate output that doesn't really even need to be human readable, just passed along to the compiler or interpreter
@exolon@maxthilen@aidenybai There's a level of verbosity for which someone new to the codebase will find understanding the easiest, and it's definitely not at the extreme end of long or short. Try parsing code-golf entries to see just how arcane and confusing code can get.
