The Latin on the Bayeux Tapestry is wonderfully easy, even if you know no Latin. Honestly! On Instant Classics we give it a go here! https://t.co/hasjHnuwCp
First week of my UK "secret histories of Rome" tour next week. There are just 5 ticket returns for Cadogan Hall, London on Tuesday 6th; no seats for Belfast or Dublin; some availability for Glasgow on Oct 11th and York on 12th. Here: https://t.co/zHP9XdyKIx
@stephenleah3@MichaelLCrick Your concerns deserve a response!!! And I was very keen to spend a few hours in and around the queue yesterday to see what was happening on the ground.
@stephenleah3@MichaelLCrick That has happened. But the majority of bookings has been trouble free. And the changed timings for the next batch should solve most problems. Cant 100% promise nothing will go wrong (there’s fire alarms etc), but do come.
@JoolsJuevans@MichaelLCrick Do think again. It’s great. There have been some problems, true. But vast majority of people have had a great time. So my experience suggests. Next tranche of tickets will be differently timed, which shd remove most problems. Totally understand re the cost .. but worth it.

Reasons given for cancellation of trains from Cambridge, all in next hour: “shortage of train drivers”, “problem in the depot”, “fault with signalling system earlier today”, “shortage of train crew”. Might be better not to know?
@chicgibson@ergopropterhoc1 Currently the vast majority of people are let into the show at the time indicated on their ticket. But there is still a preliminary queue of 1 hour plus (with exhibits etc) before you get to the tapestry. At least that was the case yesterday.
@adelaadazeem@Darcy2988 Ps at one point a member of the museum staff walked me through to see how the queue was organised. But yes I didn’t look at the tapestry. That wasn’t why I was there!
