@virtualmage17 The time when I loved Rare.
The platforming was sublime during the Snes era but they moved away from that into collectathons on the N64 I wasn't into that
@MidlifeCrysis_ Even though I bought Dreamcast to play Virtua Fighter 3.
It has to be Soul Calibur the game that we didnt stop playing daily until Soul Calibur 2 came out
@virtualmage17 Its one of the most unique games to this day.
The unique mix of flight sim and Arcade.
Its better than its N64 sequel once you look passed the graphics to concentrate on gameplay mechanics.
The Snes original has the most variety of any Pilot Wings game.
@cartoonvibes26 NES and SNES controllers.
After that they got progressively worse for 3rd party games.
I do believe that your standard controller should support a wide variety of games otherwise games simply skip your platform.
@jimjustgames Probably the Megadrive because the games on that console represent the most variety and the kind of games Iike to come to and play today.
2nd the Sega Saturn for the clear leap in graphics and evolution gameplay over the 16bit era.
Arcade ports from Capcom and Sega amazing.
@RetroGamerArt It was good for 91 but it sent you back to the beginning of each level when you died making it much less fun when you continued.
No 2 player mode either.
Streets of Rage 1 thankfully had 2 player mode and continued right where you died as in the Arcades.
@sega_city It was good when it first came out showing what was possible with the Sega Saturn compared to 16bit consoles.
But unfortuately the maze like levels were too big.
Also every level felt like a gauntlet where you face hoards of enemies.
It got boring fast.
