Did you know that Tipped workers earn $2.13/hour? It’s time for a change! @SaruJayaraman @Janefonda @LilyTomlin @AOC @ROCunited @onefairwage @womenmakemovies
Both Democrats and Republicans agree: workers need a higher minimum wage.
But instead of raising wages, Trump’s “No Tax on Tips” promise is a shiny distraction wrapped in a “Big Beautiful Bill.”
You heard it here first, most workers will be hurt, not helped.
As we head into November millions of working people will lose their SNAP benefits. A reminder that if a global company is paying its workers so little that they need federal benefits, that company should lose eligibility for tax incentives.
Pay people a livable wage NOW!
No Tax On Tips: bottom 20% of all tipped workers would receive an annual average tax cut of just $74.
Raise the Wage Act: would benefit nearly 23M workers with an average annual boost in wages of $3,200 ($70 billion gain in wages.)
You be the judge.

Today, SNAP benefits are coming to an end for millions of people. Service workers quickly learn the values of customer service and also how to handle a paycheck, only surviving on tips.
This is probably one of the best takes we've seen on @subwaytakes!
What's your take on this?
Last week, Chrissy Teigen joined restaurant workers and community leaders for our Server for an Hour event, stepping into the shoes of millions of workers who serve our communities every day, yet still struggle to make ends meet. 🍽️
Trump’s promise of “no taxes on tips” pulled tipped workers toward him. But the real change is ending subminimum wages for good. Raise the wage, not the illusions. #OneFairWage https://t.co/6DpOIvM96V
In a perfect world, workers would make enough from their wages that tips wouldn't be necessary.
But we don't live in a perfect world. Until the minimum wage reaches a point where it keeps up with the cost of living, tips are essential.

"When the minimum wage is too low, workers can be making more than the minimum and still struggle to pay for rent, food and other necessities."
A poverty wage for some is a struggle for all. All workers would benefit from #RaisingTheWage.

Lawmakers: “$7.25 is fine.” Reality: a single worker in Wisconsin needs $20.96/hr to survive. Somebody’s lying—and it’s not the workers. #OneFairWage https://t.co/Tq21RISRTM
Even McDonald’s knows the subminimum wage is rotten. They just broke from the NRA, admitting tipped wages are bad for workers and bad for business. When the biggest fast-food chain in the world agrees it’s unfair, it’s time to end it. #OneFairWage

Americans are fed up with tipping culture!!!!
63% have negative views, and nearly 40% say businesses should just pay their staff.
The problem isn’t customers; it’s a broken system.
End subminimum wages and pay workers fairly. #OneFairWage

The fact that treating workers with respect is seen as the exception shows exactly what’s broken in the restaurant industry. Paying fairly and treating people right doesn’t just build loyalty, it builds stronger businesses. It’s not rocket science. It’s #OneFairWage.
