During #NationalRecoveryMonth, learn how to spot an opioid overdose and know you’re protected under North Carolina law if you step in to help. 💜
🚨 Overdose warning signs: slow or stopped breathing, unresponsiveness, “pinpoint” pupils, blue lips or fingertips and choking/gurgling sounds. If you see these, call 911 immediately, administer naloxone if available and start rescue breathing.
⚖️ NC Good Samaritan Law offers legal protection for anyone calling 911 in good faith to help someone experiencing an overdose. When in doubt, make the call. Your quick action may save someone’s life.
