Minimal, judicious use of chemicals can be supportive to soil health; indiscriminate chemical use will put our soils on life-support. Most important to keep the soil Alive with organic content for healthier yields, to enhance farmer economy and for ecological stability. #SaveSoil. Let’s make it happen. -Sg

Ancient land of immeasurable hues
Richness beyond compare in Music
Mathematics, Astronomy, Culinary,
Philosophy, Profoundness and lingo.
Can ever another land produce
this wealth of Culture and Consciousness.
The least the world can do
not preserve but live and thrive
this wealth that is Vital
for the much divided Humanity
to know, nourish and nurture
Humans into a possibility of
Knowing, Wellbeing and Profoundness
of Experience of life from its
Origin to its Ultimate.

Our focus must shift from short-term water management to establishing long-term water security. For this, we need policy-based initiatives to Save Soil. In scale and efficiency of storing water and replenishing groundwater, healthy soil has no parallel. Bharat has the opportunity to present a demonstrable model to the tropical world that limited land and high population density are not a hindrance to becoming water abundant when our soil is rich and fertile. Save Soil = Save Water. Let’s make it happen. -Sg @cpsavesoil

Tree-based agriculture is a proven model for economic & ecological prosperity. Tens of thousands of farmers have enhanced their incomes anywhere between 300% and 800% through the practice of tree-based agriculture. It is heartening to note that the tide is turning. We must achieve a critical mass of farmers who have been enriched by enriching the Land. Congratulations, best wishes & blessings to all involved in the effort to #SaveSoil of Bharat. -Sg #CauveryCalling @cpsavesoil
Everything that we can do to enable farmers to #SaveSoil in agricultural lands must be done now without delay. Healthy soil is the only way to a wealthy farming community. It is only when the farming community prospers that the Nation can prosper. Isha Nurseries will multiply manyfold in our endeavor to Save Soil of Bharat. Congratulations & Blessings to all who are a part of this endeavor. -Sg #CauveryCalling @cpsavesoil
Right now, the greatest service anyone can offer to the Planet & to coming generations is to enrich the Soil. Congratulations & Blessings to every one of these 160 women who are joyfully doing what is most needed on the planet today. Their Actions must be amplified and reinforced with urgency through global policymaking to #SaveSoil– this is the need of the hour. Let’s make it happen. -Sg #CauveryCalling @cpsavesoil
Deeply disturbing. In a world of plenty, no one should go hungry. The dearth is not of food but of human care and concern. Global commerce & geopolitics are structured such that conflicts and climate crises in any part of the world will affect the food security of the whole world. Rising food insecurity will lead to large-scale disruptive migration. It is vital that every Nation becomes food sufficient by restoring their agricultural soils to health & richness. While this may not be the only solution to the food crisis, it is among the most critical ones. -Sg #SaveSoil @FAO@UNCCD@cpsavesoil
Our Soil has gone through every form of Life and continues to do so ceaselessly. This is not a commodity. It is the Source of Life on this planet. It is older than us, wiser than us, far more intelligent than us, far more capable than us– a far bigger process than we are as human beings. We are born of it and embraced by it in death. If Soil dies, Life dies. #SaveSoil. Let’s make it happen. -Sg #WorldSoilDay @UNCCD@UNEP@UNFCCC@IUCN@cpsavesoil
I really don't know why I am doing this, my body just doesn't want to get into this soul-stirring exhaustion again for 15 months but my integrity isn't allowing me to sit back. The silent disaster soil extinction is bringing is too extreme and under-noticed and it's well beyond my dignity to know all this and not do something about it. Join me in my mission to make soil extinction a global concern followed by policies and laws to #SaveSoil #makesoilgreatagain
The National Mission on Natural Farming, which has been approved by the Cabinet, marks a transformative shift in Indian agriculture. Through this effort, we are nurturing soil health, protecting biodiversity and securing our agricultural future. It reaffirms our commitment to sustainable farming and prosperity for farmers.

A Victory for Bharat’s Soil! Wonderful to see that the government recognizes that soil is not just an inert mixture of chemicals, but a living system of trillions of species – the largest living system we know of in the universe. #SaveSoil. Let us make it happen. -Sg @cpsavesoil@AgriGoI
It is disgraceful to see how a democratic nation is disintegrating to become theocratic and autocratic. It is the responsibility of every citizen to understand the value of having an open democracy. Persecution on the basis of religion or weakness of demographics is not the way of democratic nations. Unfortunately, our neighborhood has slipped away from democratic principles. It should be the responsibility of every citizen of Bangladesh to build back a democratic nation where all citizens will have the needed rights and ability to fulfill their lives as per their requirements and beliefs. -Sg

Moving climate financing towards the revitalization of soil, which will invariably bring economic wellbeing to farmers, is a much-needed step towards a sustainable future. It was wonderful to meet Jason Spensley of the Global Environment Facility at #COP29. His efforts to make finance available to farmers in an effort to address climate change are commendable. -Sg

Bharat, a Land with several millennia of agricultural tradition has always known how to keep the soil rich and yielding. Farm animals, trees and crop rotation practices were intrinsic to the agricultural landscape. Though mechanization & fertilizer use are now unavoidable to feed our population, we must urgently revive traditional complementary agricultural practices that can nourish the soil. The farmers of Bharat know what to do. All of us - citizens, government and industry - must incentivize and support our farmers to #SaveSoil. Let’s make it happen. -Sg
Water is neither a commodity nor an infinite resource. In order to restore the global water balance, we must restore global soils to health & richness. Healthy soil is the largest and only natural Water reservoir and Water purifier on the planet. If we want to ensure we leave behind- if not a thriving- at least a liveable planet for future generations, we must Act without a moment’s delay to #SaveSoil. We know what we have to do. Let’s make it happen. -Sg @UN_Water@UNCCD@watercommongood
We welcome the verdict of the Highest Court of the Land. It is most unfortunate that the Supreme Court is forced to waste its valuable time hearing frivolous petitions filed with malafide intent when there are innumerable genuine cases that need the Court’s attention. Time we learn to use the privileges of Democracy more responsibly. -Sg
