@streetsensedc thanks for writing & posting this article. We are excited & proud of this important initiative. We currently have funds to continue until March; athe need will continue far beyond that. Donations to help us continue may be made at https://t.co/qH9RJISDSk.
The organizations have been distributing multiple days a week since late May. With hypothermia season activated from Nov. 1 until March 31, they are now offering sweaters, blankets and other warm clothing to homeless communities in the area.

Agree with Way Home DC. This is more than unfathomable. The DC government has indicated that they expect homelessness in DC to INCREASE by 30-40%. If anything the DC Govt. should be increasing funding.
This is simply unfathomable. We must INCREASE funding for people experiencing homelessness during hypothermia and a pandemic, not decrease it.
Stay tuned for action updates.
Today is International Human Rights Day. Tonight at @UNANCA's annual ceremony PFFC will receive the Community Human Rights Award, one of 4 awards bestowed annually. Here are the remarks that PFFC Director Robert Warren will be presenting at the ceremony.

Thrilled that yesterday @MeyerFoundation award $25,000 to PFFC.
Funds are to help PFFC strengthen its work in outreach & peer mentoring, allowing PFFC to grow its membership, strengthen advocacy efforts to end housing instability in DC; & increase voice of unhoused in process.
