Today, Gov. @henrymcmaster named October Manufacturing Month in South Carolina. This month is an opportunity to recognize the many contributions #TeamBoeing and the 787 Dreamliner make to South Carolina’s aerospace industry.

Manufacturing is not just about building an airplane — it’s about building it safely, building it with quality, and delivering it on time to our customers.

Supplying the innovators of tomorrow! 🎒

Across the United States, #TeamBoeing came together for our annual Liftoff for Learning drive to help students start the school year strong with the supplies they need to succeed. 📚

Our teammates in South Carolina organized bed sheet sets to donate to community members who attended Jean’s Angels Back-to-School Bash. A variety of items was available so families could receive more than just school supplies for the school year.

Liftoff for Learning is one of the many ways our teammates are giving back to the community this year — and every year! — as we commemorate #America250.

It's race weekend in South Carolina! 🏎️🏁

NASCAR driver @JHNemechek visited #TeamBoeing in South Carolina, meeting with teammates and handing out tickets to this weekend's @TooToughToTame Cook Out Southern 500.

Construction update 🏗️

Check out the progress on our second Final Assembly building! Cranes are lifting trusses into place – forming the building's roof.

These trusses connect the east and west towers and will also support production cranes inside the factory.

Today, Governor @henrymcmaster named Aug. 7, 2026 (8/7) as "Boeing 787 Dreamliner Day!” The day recognizes the many contributions #TeamBoeing and the 787 Dreamliner make to South Carolina’s aerospace industry.

We celebrated with popcorn and popsicles, and the “Coolest Thing Made in SC” trophy from the 787 Dreamliner’s victory in the @SCManufacturers Manufacturing Madness competition.

Every 787 Dreamliner tells a story of innovation, teamwork and pride — and today was all about celebrating the people behind every airplane. ✈️

One cool thing deserves another!

Six #TeamBoeing teammates created a custom mobile display case for the "Coolest Thing Made in SC" award we received from the @SCManufacturers Manufacturing Madness competition.

A moment worth beaming about 🏗️

We placed the final beam on the initial structure of our new Vertical Fin paint facility, where we will paint 787 vertical fins once the facility is complete.

Members of our Decorative Paint and Component Paint teams signed the beam and watched it move into place, leaving their mark on the new building. We also secured an evergreen tree to the beam, a construction tradition symbolizing endurance, continued life for the building and #TeamBoeing community pride.

Fifteen years ago, we cut the ribbon on our 787 Dreamliner facility in North Charleston ✈️

Since June 2011, #TeamBoeing in South Carolina has assembled hundreds of 787 Dreamliners, which have been delivered to customers around the world. 🌎 🌎

We’re proud to keep growing with the addition of a second final assembly building. The future is bright for the 787 and Boeing South Carolina!

A major construction milestone! 🏗️

Over the weekend, crews lifted the first two trusses for the second Final Assembly building into place. These trusses will form the building's roof, and also support the cranes that help assemble the 787 Dreamliner – connecting the east and west towers.

This milestone marks a big step forward as we continue building the future of 787 production in South Carolina.

Innovation 🤝 Safety

A South Carolina based #TeamBoeing tool designer saw an opportunity to improve a tool at our Charleston site. He created a smart solution – now Boeing South Carolina’s 1,000th U.S. patent! 🎉

His invention supports safer operations and improves efficiency in the 787 Final Assembly factory. Our teammates are solving real-world problems and making a positive impact every day.

Flown by #TeamBoeing, the @usnatarchives Freedom Plane National Tour — made possible in part by the @archivesfdn — is transporting nine original Founding-era documents to museums around the U.S. for visitors to see in celebration of #America250.

We were honored to host @SecDuffy at our South Carolina facilities this week! He visited with #TeamBoeing, walked the production line to see how the 787 Dreamliner is made, and toured our growing North Charleston site.

🌳Boeing is proud to support the preservation of one of SC's most treasured natural landmarks. We donated $1M to the Lowcountry Land Trust to develop the Angel Oak Preserve, a 44-acre park centered around the iconic tree.
