We do need support to keep going and reach our target so that we can fund the launch of five new apprenticeship programmes. These will provide critical training, qualifications and career opportunities to those who really need the helping hand, like Millie.

Situation:
Young people in the UK are facing a significant rise in unemployment, with long-term consequences on their mental health, income, and employment prospects. This is being exacerbated further by the cost-of-living crisis.

Intense financial pressures mean 53% worry they will never be financially secure and 24% of young people can't afford the qualifications needed for their desired jobs. For the most disadvantaged groups, including those from poorer backgrounds, this is even harder.

Solution:
To combat youth unemployment we train and employ young people, from disadvantaged backgrounds with limited prospects, as sports coaches and future leaders. We're able to contribute towards costs of this through fundraising.

Since 2012, we’ve helped 1000 apprentices (with the help of our employer partners) to deliver sports-coaching sessions to over 13 million people.

Our future plans:
We want to get 500 more young people into this meaningful employment in the next 3 years and in turn, impact their communities. Every £1 of your donation unlocks £5 of social value.
