As we approach #Memorial Day, we will highlight West Chicago residents who paid the ultimate sacrifice. William Currier was one of 47 men who volunteered from Turner to serve in the Union Army during the #CivilWar who is buried Oakwood. William died in May of 1862 in St. Louis
It is #MuseumVacation day! These pictures are from the Kruse family whose home is now a museum under the ownership of the West Chicago Historical Society. The Kruse family took many road trips and got to see the country. These images are from August 1940.
