@NetsDaily Random question but do you see the Nets updating/redesigning their normal uniforms? Love the B logo and black/white colors, but the uniform set could use some upgrading. I see teams like the Timberwolves and Rockets doing it, which is why I’m asking now 🤔
Karim Lopez and Nate Ament are working out for the Nets today, Lopez said on my podcast. Two potential lottery picks are going head-to-head for Brooklyn, who have the 6th pick.

The Nets don’t need to reinvent the wheel or do something crazy. They need to build a consistent winner. A team that is in the playoffs for 7-8+ consecutive years. Develop homegrown guys into stars. Make a big splash when the moment is right. Establish an identity.
SOURCE: The Brooklyn #Nets’ interest in Nate Ament at No. 6 appears to be gaining legitimate traction.
One league source described Ament as a “polarizing player,” though also someone who could be an ideal fit alongside Egor Demin due to the duo’s combination of size and shooting ability.
A few weeks ago, a source described Ament as a “dark horse” option for Brooklyn at No. 6.
Since then, league buzz surrounding the possibility has only continued to grow, making him a name worth monitoring as the draft approaches.
The Nets are a blank canvas right now. Pretty much anyone makes sense for this team. Reaves would average 25+ PPG in Brooklyn while creating for others as well. Not my first choice, but I wouldn’t be upset. He’s a dog. I highly doubt that he’s leaving the Lakers though
I have been thinking about this for a while but if you swap Jalen Brunson with Cam Thomas and give him the same green light and playoff competition.
I think the Knicks still make the finals, it’s a shame how the media perspective has one out the league.
@notoriousbknets 100%. Utah Deron was an awesome basketball player and a true star. If not for the injuries once he got to the Nets, he’d probably be a HOF’er
There are some concerns about his size (although the crazy wingspan helps alleviate some of that) and the defense, but Acuff has the potential to be a transformative offensive player with his scoring ability and next-level passing. He could turn the entire Nets franchise around.
Not saying he’ll reach the same levels, but Brayden Burries reminds me a lot of Devin Booker. Very talented guard who was underutilized on a stacked college team. Incredible rebounder for a guard and has the size and speed to be a multiple time All-Star with good two-way ability.
Mikel Brown Jr. has a little bit of that same upside. He’s bigger than Acuff though, but could be a three-level scorer with the chops to carry a team offensively as a lead guard. I think the back injury has almost made him underrated now. His upside is through the roof.
