Not long ago, women in Borichibari walked miles for a single pot of water.

This small village in Peth, Nashik knew the weight of that journey every single day.

Today, water flows into their homes.
Thanks to a zinc tank and sustainable water scheme installed by Swades Foundation, with the support of Deutsche Bank, via its CSR Environment programme, the village now knows something far more precious - the joy of water flowing close to home.

Through the project fundraising by Swades Foundation on Social Stock Exchange of National Stock Exchange (NSE-SSE), the project shows how innovative financial platforms can scale social impact and drive effort where it matters.

The ₹10 crore raised by Swades Foundation on NSE-SSE has translated into individual toilets for 1,000+ households, sustainable incomes for 1,300+ families, scholarships for 600+ students, and dignified livelihoods for over 1,000 youth.

This is the power of purpose-driven partnerships and trust and transparency-driven giving.

Data from Dasra reports that 23 million girls in India leave school every year upon beginning menstruation because their schools lack a clean, safe toilet. Behind this figure are young girls whose dreams are needlessly interrupted.

At Swades Foundation, we prioritize building separate, secure toilet facilities for girls and boys in secondary schools. A clean, private space gives girls the confidence to attend school regularly and continue their education with pride.

Today, over 390 schools feature Swades WASH facilities enabling thousands of students to sit in their classrooms without worry, knowing they have a safe place to care for themselves.

Because a toilet door that latches can secure more than hygiene; it secures a girl's right to learn.

Oracle has been a valued partner in our journey, supporting multiple programmes at Swades Foundation - including enabling women entrepreneurs to build sustainable livelihoods through training, access to markets, and financial literacy.

This year, the team spent time with our Self-Help Groups, helping paint handmade diyas ahead of the festive season markets. Beyond the colours and creativity, the interaction was a chance to share encouragement, exchange stories, and witness how community spirit is shaping livelihoods. Our SHG women also shared their business ideas and vision for growth with the #Oracle team - an empowering exercise in building confidence and entrepreneurial spirit. It is a true privilege to partner with those who walk alongside us with such commitment and purpose.
