What a result for Craig Bennett’s Merry Fox Stud @Tattersalls1766 yesterday!
Bred in partnership with @newsellspark , their colt out of dual Listed-placed Shambolic sold for an incredible 4,000,000gns - taking her progeny’s Book 1 receipts to an astonishing 9,625,000gns.

2026's record price broken again at #TattsOctober Book 1, @godolphin coming out on top at 4,600,000gns for @NorelandsStud Night Of Thunder colt out of the Gr.1 placed My Astra.

A big year on the track has set the scene for an exciting @Tattersalls1766 Book 1 for @NorelandsStud .

Johanna Walsh’s Irish Oaks triumph, Green Empress’s Group 1 success, Amberglen’s US Grade 3 win, Saxon Street’s Listed victory and King Of Cloughan’s Royal Ascot success have in 2026 all underlined the quality being raised at the Kilkenny Stud.

Now Norelands brings ten yearlings to Tatts Book 1, including progeny by Sea The Stars, Wootton Bassett, Night Of Thunder, New Bay, Lope de Vega & Blue Point.

With the farm’s graduates firing on the track, Hamish McCalmont joins @nickluck on the Weatherbys segment of the NLD Podcast to discuss this year’s draft, the horses behind the results and the Norelands approach to raising top-class racehorses.
