Congratulations to JUCO transfer Sam Weinstein (@weinste15) on his commitment to Tulane University (@GreenWaveBSB)!
Sam was a standout player in high school who began his college career at Appalachian State and later transferred to Mineral Area College, where he emerged as one of the top offensive catchers in the NJCAA. This season at MAC, Sam hit .383 with 18 home runs while providing high-level defensive value behind the plate.
A strong, athletic catcher with legitimate power potential, Sam stands out for his advanced receiving and blocking ability, quick transfer, and consistent sub-2.0 pop times in-game. He shows leadership behind the plate, handles pitching staffs well, and brings impact ability on both sides of the ball.
We’re excited to continue following Sam’s career and look forward to seeing what he accomplishes at Tulane next spring. Congratulations again, @weinste15!
