We have gathered in a nearly full Foundery Chapel for Holy Communion. All are welcome to join us at these services, every Wednesday at 12.45pm.
The service is led by Rev'd Dr John Lampard, and Rev'd Dr Claire Potter is playing Charles Wesley's organ today.
@stgilescg She would die at the Foundery Chapel and is buried across the road from us in Bunhill Fields.
Her name however, is known throughout the world!
Today is Susanna Wesley's Birthday.
"The Mother of Methodism" was born streets away from the chapel in Spital Yard in 1669, last of 25 children. Her Father was Rector @stgilescg for a time, which today is one of our ecumenical partners. (He was ejected for non-conformity!)
Our 11am service of the word is underway. Our preacher is Rev'd Claire and Rev'd Jen is leading. Elvis Pratt is on the organ and we have a group of girl guides from Buckinghamshire visiting us this Sunday
