Interesting... definitely wouldn't want to play with touch controls, but it makes the point that these 60 and 75hz eink displays are at the point of being a pretty suitable replacement display for some handhelds. Would love to see a color eink on a GBC ๐ค

Stoked to share that I'll be speaking at Teardown 2026 in Portland on July 24! I'll be breaking out the microscope and giving a talk on "The Evolution of Handheld Game Displays". It'll be a fun session - hope to see many of you there! @crowd_supply

@PixelCNinja This is too nuanced of a topic for a single answer. There's a big difference between a core that's vibe-coded versus a core that's hand-written with an AI peer programmer.
Raspberry Pi PICO 2W and IRC chat client.

Written in #circuitpython based on Adafruit demo with big Claude help.
Remember the good old days of internet cafes?
Donโt use isopropyl alcohol on PEI sheets.
Apply a thin layer of liquid (not white!) glue to a new sheet, then spray with distilled water and distribute with a $1 foam brush every few prints.
Over many thousands of print hours, this is by far the most effective.
I'm completely blown away... I didn't expect the GameTank to be so cool! You're not supposed to have this much fun without an FPGA! ๐
Enjoy the video! https://t.co/fHOfG0gv4p
A little something Iโve been working on - I ported the MiSTer NES core to the #GameBub. Thereโs still work to do - Accuracy Coin is currently 135/140 but games seem to runs great. I donโt want to release this until @eli_lipsitz releases his updated firmware with the horizontal Game Bub so I can ensure itโs compatible, but I think this provides a decent framework for porting over other MiSTer cores. Which core should I work on next?
@MultisystemFPGA Glad to see this! I think you all know I have lots of thoughts for this space and would be happy to provide feedback/ideas. I have something Iโve been working on as well and would be happy to share with you all the approach Iโm taking. Feel free to reach out!
@PixelCNinja Haha, I know youโre joking, but I actually was thinking that maybe I need to raise the noise floor in my studio to make my audio sound more authentic ๐
I've had multiple people reach out to me about this comment on my latest video. To be clear, there is zero generated AI content in my videos. Just lots of hard work, quality AV equipment, and constant learning of what works and what doesn't. I appreciate everyone who watches!
