This month, we celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and recognize the contributions they make to our state every day. We have made meaningful progress, but there is more work ahead to ensure every person can live authentically and without discrimination.
For decades, the remains of hundreds of Black children have rested in unmarked graves at a state-supported institution that was supposed to protect and care for them.
