Thank you for the faith you have shown in me. I appreciate the opportunity to continue to pay forward my experience and expertise in service to our community and our state.
I am proud to be elected to serve HD60, Black Hawk County, & Iowa for another term in the Iowa House of Representatives. Thank you to everyone who stepped forward to support OUR campaign. It was YOUR campaign. Because of all of you we are able to celebrate a victory tonight.
In my first term I built credibility with my colleagues on both sides, working across the aisle on issues to benefit all Iowans. This will not change, nor will my ability to be an effective voice for the District and Black Hawk County.
Our team has run a positive campaign focused on the issues, my approach, & my contributions. I thank the team for this.
A record number of you have already cast your vote. If you are voting at the polls tomorrow please confirm your polling location first: https://t.co/tb4mJlt7d7
As we finish the 2020 campaign and head into election day, I am thankful for all of the support for OUR campaign. Many dedicated volunteers stepped forward to help me connect with the voters. Their work is greatly appreciated.
The shortage of qualified child care options in our state not only currently impacts our families with young children, but has a direct impact on our economy and our ability to recruit and expand a skilled workforce.

Education is the key to helping each generation see and take the opportunities their parents may never have had.
Investment in public education is not only important for the future of Iowa's students, it is the key to Iowa's economic growth.
Health care remains one of the top concerns for Iowans and I know that we can work together to address this critical need.

We should also realize that labor has contributed significantly to everyone's quality of life & to the United States' emergence as an industrial power.

May this Labor Day be a time of relaxation with a brief break from these trying times. Let us remember that Labor Day is meant to recognize the labor movement of the late 19th century that resulted in much better working conditions & led to the creation of the middle class. 1/2
