Great post. I recall how much it meant for the first responders to meet Governor @JohnBelEdwards and I out in the field when I was Secretary. Keep up the good work.
This morning, I joined @PennDOTNews officials and operators in Bensalem to thank them for their hard work keeping Pennsylvanians safe throughout this weekend’s storm.
Pennsylvanians did their part too — following the instructions of their local officials and staying off the roads so these folks could do their jobs as quickly and safely as possible.
We're all hands on deck.
I tell my Nephew it’s honoring St Aug and I tell my Neice it’s honoring Karr. I went to Karr when it was a Junior High so you know where my loyalties rest.
3 different views…one beautiful Twin Span Bridge. It was the right decision then and it is still the right decision. On the eve of the New Orleans Super Bowl between Edna Karr & St. Augustine, the Crescent City Connection puts the City on notice for what is about to happen.
24 states reported a 10-year funding gap of $86.3 billion for repairs and maintenance for roads and bridges.
To get on track, these states would need a 44% increase in spending.
How big is the gap facing your state? https://t.co/R9D1kA2Vi3
Congrats @CoryBooker. I am so very proud of what you accomplished and the policy substance that you provided to America. I only pray this does not fall upon deaf ears.

Hear it straight from @clancygambit and @WWLTV — all Louisianans should vote NO on all 4 amendments. #SayNoToThemAll
“All 4 proposed amendments were passed by lawmakers hastily. Amendment 2, in particular, was finalized behind closed doors with zero public input.”
In Thibodeaux LA, @GeauxColonels, neighboring city to Schriever, LA, birthplace of my maternal grandfather, celebrating amazing leaders that proud of their heritage & state. My friends @MartyChabert & @garretgraves are honorees. IYKYK, you are blessed.
From our earliest days, Black history has always been American history – and Black folks have profoundly shaped our American culture through music, art, literature, sports, and beyond. One month a year is not sufficient to celebrate the power of the movements and the people who have fought for the rights we enjoy today. That’s something that we have to do each and every day, as we strive to live up to their example and make sure our children and grandchildren remember their stories.
The drivers of higher infra costs, materials, labor, & energy are complex. Public trans. agencies and industry partners can take collaborative steps to mitigate their impact and keep projects moving forward. Read my column here: https://t.co/xNC4XFuQ0G

About last night. While visiting the @wsp in Chicago, I attended the @ACEC_National Illinois chapter celebration of my friend/colleague Omer Osman, retiring from @IDOT_Illinois. He said Fairness is Universal. Transportations had to represent all of US. We are all one community.
Great DOT leaders at the #P3Gov Conference. Time Matthews from @GADeptofTrans , Bryan Ledford of @myTDOT, & Cathie Vick of @Transurban. The topic is managing risk and delivering value rich infrastructure with public private partnerships. @wsp is a proud sponsor.
Happening Now: @RepGarretGraves is addressing the Government P3 about striking a balance of project delivery between government and the private sector. #GOVP3#WSP
There's a crisis on our roadways. We lose as many people to vehicle crashes as we do to gun violence in this country—about 40,000 people a year.
Let us remember the lives of those we've lost on our roadways and recommit to keeping our roads safe. We all have a role to play.
A great deal of work was put in by a number of hardworking volunteers over the years, people committed to safe & affordable access to opportunity. Connecting communities across state boundaries. Let’s not stop. Keep on rolling. @JohnBelEdwards @reneelap @AlgySemien
We’ve broken ground on the Gulf Coast Rail project, restoring Amtrak service between New Orleans and Mobile for the first time since 2005. With funding from infrastructure law, this project will reconnect these two communities and provide a vital transportation link once again.
