It’s not about Ethiopia maintaining a strict visa policy. The real issue is that the Ethiopian passport is among the weakest in Africa, which significantly limits the travel freedom of its citizens because they need visas for most destinations. One of my videographers is Ethiopian, and even for Djibouti, we had to apply for a visa.

Ethiopia has maintained its strict visa policy, granting visa-free entry to citizens of only two African countries.

Under the country’s latest immigration policy, nationals of Ghana and Nigeria remain among the many African travelers required to obtain visas before entering Ethiopia, with only Kenya and Djibouti exempt from the requirement.

I’ve lost most of my footage from The Gambia 🇬🇲 for the YouTube documentary.

One of the most heartbreaking things that can happen to a content creator has happened to me again. 💔😭

Sadly, this isn't the first time. It usually happens during file transfers from one device to another while trying to back everything up and free up space for the next project.

People often see the finished videos but never the setbacks behind them. Losing footage means losing moments that can never be recreated.

I'm heartbroken, but I'll find a way to tell the story with what I have. The journey continues. ❤️🙏
