Thank you to every contributor who shared their time, ideas, and energy today to help move WordPress forward.
Contributor Day is one of the clearest reminders of what makes WordPress possible: people.
Today at #WCEU, contributors are meeting, learning, collaborating, and sharing their time and skills across the project.
Thank you to everyone helping build WordPress together.
Reports from Contributor Day: productivity is high, collaboration is strong, and the dog biscuits are well-stocked, according to this goodest contributor. 🐾

i've been jamming on these little big things for WordPress, centered on simplifying and matching expectations:
✓ locking blocks via list view
✓ locking a block's layout
✓ editing template parts and patterns inline
✓ browsing and adding patterns easily while zoomed out
would love your thoughts.

I'm applying to speak at WordCamp US. Here's the bio I wrote for them. I didn't hold anything back, last time I was too humble and got rejected! ;-)
The title of the talk is "the web's social web."
### My WordCamp bio
I created most of the tools and standards behind WordPress. Blogging, RSS, OPML, podcasting, XML-RPC. We got all these things bootstrapped before WordPress came into existence.
Today, I'm building on WordPress and working my butt off the reboot the blogosphere in time to become the Really Open version of the social web.
I have a degree in math from Tulane, compsci at UW-Madison, started two Silicon Valley companies, was a research fellow at Harvard Law School and NYU journalism.
I can't seem to retire. Still diggin. ;-)
