@Heminator My mom was also 5 years old born in Honolulu 1936. She remembers sirens and trying to help her pregnant aunt hide under the bed. My grandmother worked at a hospital and watched from the rooftop. 6 months later they left on a ship and my mom was issued a Mickey Mouse gas mask.

@Michele_Tafoya My husband and I adopted our daughter from foster care when she was 11. Kids that age are considered unadoptible. I hope more families will consider these children. Absolute blessing!
