Here are a few thoughts on the Zambezi Zinger at @worldsoffun. @GreatCoasters and @SkylineAttrax really designed a masterpiece here. The first half is a great setup with a smooth and fun “family” portion. Then you pop over the train tracks and then it all goes insane. The second half really shows how tight the Infinity Flyer trains can corner and how quickly they can transition. The coaster is insanely fun and re-rideable. I can’t wait to try it at night. L
The new Zambezi Zinger opened for winners of the Big Slick first rider expedition and various media! Thanks for the invite Worlds of Fun! We had a great time and it’s a fun ride!
Zambezi Zinger soft opened yesterday for passholders only. It’s unknown if it will continue to remain “soft opened” or not. Another major change is that Zinger is now categorized as a “5 aggressive thrill” and requires a height of 48” to ride. Photos by Brad Green and Zach Macha
On today’s date, 40 years ago, America’s first stand-up coaster opened at Worlds of Fun! Extremeroller or E.X.T would only operate until June of 1984. Read more about E.X.T. In our latest blog! https://t.co/fcIqRph6a0
A fun before and after shot that I’ve been waiting for. Nearly 30 years separate these two photos but they are both of ELI and Zambezi Zinger (the first being the original the second being the namesake)
The very first “park map” created by local artist John Boyd Martin introduced Kansas City to Worlds of Fun before it ever opened. Martin also is responsible for creating the iconic balloon logo and the 1980-1987 souvenir maps!
