The WPS is investigating a serious incident that occurred following a police pursuit in the area of Young Street and Broadway Avenue this afternoon.
The incident has concluded; however, injuries have been reported, and the scene remains secured for further investigation.
Residents and motorists are advised that Broadway Avenue will remain closed between Furby Street and Young Street until further notice. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
Further information will be released as it becomes available.

The Winnipeg Police Service is asking for public assistance in locating a man wanted on a Canada-Wide Warrant regarding an ongoing extortion and arson investigation involving retail businesses in the City of Winnipeg. Six individuals were previously arrested in connection with the extortion and arson incidents that occurred in July 2025.
