@FelicTwitch@UsagiKaede1@wzrdnx None of Foundations felt bland or uninspired, they did an excellent job with that set. I can hope that the marvel set will be full of cool designs and interesting things but if it's too watered down for newbies then that also sucks for the established player base.
@FelicTwitch@UsagiKaede1@wzrdnx I agree foundations is a great set, it has a collection of Elegant design playables for any format, the design style that allows for good Aha moments without being too difficult to understand for new players and has a number of more advanced interactive pieces too.
@Clonenandbonein@UsagiKaede1 Now I'm not saying the cards are finite yet (they will be once print fully stops for a set like LOTR is as far as I can tell) once that happens the market (which is already slightly elevated) will elevate artificially higher propped by collectors that don't let cards re-enter.
@Clonenandbonein@UsagiKaede1 I don't know if you've noticed but Wizards has Overtaxed their supply chain shops order hundreds of boxes and receive 10-15, I haven't seen a FF pack in any local store for months, plus I'm also referring to the jacked MSRP that's happened since UB was added.
@UsagiKaede1 I don't know about your local community but this is exactly the experience I've seen with UB in my community, FF was the worst for it. And for the sets that are decently good sets (FF LOTR) they both have elevated average prices on their secondary market.
@DrivetheTacos@UsagiKaede1@wzrdnx I didn't say new players is a bad thing, I do think the number of new players that simply will collect it and leave them off the market unplayed will impact the overall accessibility of cards from the set, but I welcome the small percentage of players who join and stick around.
@UsagiKaede1@wzrdnx Yeah that's definitely his point and not the fact that the set will likely be extremely simple and uninspired so that it's easy for a mass of new players to start with.
@LASTE_KON@MTGSecretLair Not only that they scraped the bottom of the barrel for the reprint choices, none of them are worth reprinting especially after getting the print in the new MA. Like imagine if it had one or two Choice prints from the OG MA, D-tut and counterspell would've been sick.
@MTGSecretLair YOU NEED TO FIX YOUR SYSTEM NOW!! THERE IS NO REASON WHY I WAS IN CHECKOUT WITH MY CART AFTER YOUR SITE REFUSED TO LOAD PROPERLY FOR 20 MINUTES ONLY TO CLICK PAY AND HAVE IT THROW ME BACK OUT! FIX YOUR SITE IMMEDIATELY AND BETTER YET PRINT TO DEMAND.
@Dork4Short Pah this thing wishes it was guttersnipe, you know what makes guttersnipe strong? The fact that it does more on the cheap spells than this, I want to be chaining cantrips until you're dead. Now if they printed a *Magecraft - 2 damage each opponent* for 2-3 mana I'd agree
@affinity4anime@SaffronOlive Just make it WUBRG conjure tribal, if there's a card that ETBs to conjure cards into deck put It in then also run a bunch of tutors flickers and panharmonicon effects
@TolarianCollege Known corporate shill *The "I wish there was more magic the gathering in magic the gathering, you shouldn't buy these secret lairs because they're effectively stealing from you, I'm specifically not putting ads on my SUP games" Professor.*
@MTGSecretLair Hey when you guys release land secret lair drops you should just make them 20 of each basic instead of 2 so you actually get a playable amount of them.
@MTGSecretLair Wrong answers?
I saw my DanDan Secret lair because I actually got one and didn't wait in queue only for it to be gone before I finished queue despite joining queue seconds after it launched.
