๐ฅWOW! ๐บ๐ธ 7 to 10 DEMOCRATS have agreed to VOTE in favor of the Crypto CLARITY Act.
Translation: Republicans will secure enough votes to PASS the BILL in the Senate next week.
IT'S HAPPENING!๐ฅ
@ScottCarus37059 Agreed. I still think he was the better option but things like this would have sent conservatives into a frenzy if it was done by the dems.
Imagine talking to a rich friend who tells you heโs $2.4 million in debt and makes about $1.95 million a year.
You yell at him to wake up because his finances are spiraling out of control.
He looks confused. โWhatโs the problem?โ
โYour debt exceeds an entire year of your income!โ
He laughs, pats you on the back, and says, โMy net worth is $10 million.โ
This is roughly the conversation we have about United States debt. The U.S. has $40 trillion in federal debt, a $32.5 trillion a year economy, and about $170 trillion in national net wealth.
In some ways, the analogy to the rich friend actually makes the U.S. look WORSE than it is. Nations donโt have a finite lifespan, and the U.S. borrows in a currency it controls.
Of course deficits and rising interest costs are real problems. But screaming โFORTY TRILLION DOLLARS!โ without comparing it to the productive capacity and wealth of the country is ridiculous.
Always look at the denominator.

A lot of people don't pay attention to the things that matter for ripple:native.
Ripple Treasury powered by GTreasury is the biggest part of Ripple almost nobody talks about. It moved about 13 trillion dollars in corporate payments last year. 1,100 corporate clients. Coca Cola, American Airlines, Black and Decker. Names you know. Thirteen trillion, and the price chart never noticed.
Now it's heading to Sibos. Booth G034, Miami Beach Convention Center, September 28 to October 1.
I mapped the whole Ripple Treasury ecosystem so you can see what they're bringing. Interactive and free. Bookmark it.

If you've never heard of Sibos, that's the point. It's SWIFT's annual conference (SWIFT is the network banks use to send money to each other). The people who run bank payments, settlement, and corporate finance show up. 12,000 plus of them by Ripple's count. Not a crypto meetup. This is the wholesale finance crowd, and it's the first time Sibos has come to Miami.
Here's the arc. Ripple bought GTreasury for about a billion dollars last October. On April 1 they put Digital Asset Accounts inside it, so a CFO can hold fiat, XRP, and RLUSD in the same system they already use for cash. Now that same platform is on the show floor at the conference where banks decide what infrastructure they trust.
No new product announcement here. Just Ripple putting corporate treasury in front of the institutions that already attend Sibos. That's how adoption happens. Quietly, in a convention center, one treasury team at a time.
About the map. Back in April I spent a weekend building it. Kudos to @WKahneman, who sparked it when he tried to map things out and make sense of it all. I picked up where he left off. Every product, every rail, every flow, in one picture. Look at the amber box. SWIFT is one of the traditional banking rails Ripple Treasury plugs into. The company hosting the conference is already on the map.
Hover any box and it explains what that piece does. Click to expand it full screen. Color coded so you can tell Ripple infrastructure (blue) from the customer's existing stack (purple), legacy banking (amber), and the shared compliance layer (green).
If you want to understand what those 12,000 people will be looking at in Miami, the link is above. Start there.
