NEWS: Following soon after the deal with Anthropic, now Google has also signed an agreement to pay SpaceXAI almost $1 billion a month. Like the previous deal, it can be terminated with 90 days' notice.
SpaceX has just announced that they have entered into a $920 million per month agreement with Google to provide compute capacity, according to a new filing.
"On June 5, 2026, we entered into a Cloud Service Agreement with Google with respect to access to compute capacity. The customer has agreed to pay us $920 million per month from October 2026 through June 2029, with capacity ramping up through September at a reduced fee. The compute capacity provided includes approximately 110,000 NVIDIA GPUs, CPUs, memory, and other related components.
After December 31, 2026, the agreement may be terminated by either party upon 90 days' notice. The customer will retain ownership of, and intellectual property rights in, its content, Al models, and related data."
It's definitely noticeable the decline of high-quality threads and engagement with them compared to the old Twitter. To an extent threads might be replaced by long posts, but it doesn't seem this can explain all of the difference.
NEWS: X has been carrying out another sweep on bot accounts.
However, this ban wave also seems to be targetting some authentic, smaller accounts based on what we've seen users report over the last week or so. Hopefully X can detect and reverse some of these bans.
NEWS: SpaceXAI has released its IPO prospectus.
The document reveals that, under the deal announced this month, Anthropic is paying SpaceX $1.25 billion per month through May 2029 for access to compute capacity at Colossus.
The figures also reveal how much money xAI is spending on AI capex: the Q12026 figure annualizes to $31 billion a year, while revenues are running around 10x lower.

The document also mentions several of SpaceX's future projects:
- Terafab in collab with Tesla (chip making)
- Macrohard (AI-operated software company)
- Data centres in space "as early as 2028"

PREVIEW: It looks like X is experimenting with bringing back exact follower counts on user profiles. Currently on Mobile and Web, after a change post-Twitter acquisition, it shows a rounded number rather than the exact number.
It appears that X will soon revert back to showing a full followers count on a profile instead of rounding on iOS.
So instead of 33.2K, it would show 33,246
PREVIEW: X is working on a new Profile design for the mobile apps. It will replace text with icons until you click on them to expand, which helps to free up space to fit more tabs comfortably
NEWS: xAI staff are being called into meetings with employees from Cursor, and asked to explain their ongoing projects.
The company has also carried out more layoffs, including roughly 10 cuts last week from teams working on Grok.
Devendra Chaplot, a prominent AI researcher who joined in March and reported directly to Elon Musk, left the company in April.

NEWS: French prosecutors have opened an investigation into X, seeking charges against Elon Musk and the platform for child sexual abuse imagery, deepfakes, and complicity in denying crimes against humanity via the Grok AI system.
The Paris public prosecutorβs office stated the investigation includes charges related to the unlawful collection of personal data, failure to ensure data security, and the dissemination of non-consensual content. The probe into Grok specifically addresses allegations regarding the platform's AI system's role in these matters. https://t.co/ivfEHT3xnI
