Thanks to generous grant funding to Young Audiences of Houston, our school partners participated in our Discovery Arts Programs supporting children with learning differences.
Recently students embarked on an imaginative journey through outer space with a hands-on sensory storytelling experience! Students blasted off into space, explored planets, searched for moon rocks, danced with aliens, and discovered mysterious slime-- all while using their senses, movement, and imaginations to become part of the story.
Experiences like this provide students with multiple ways to engage with the arts while encouraging creativity, communication, collaboration, self-regulation, and confidence.
Weβre proud to support arts experiences that make space for every child to explore, create, and discover through the arts. If you would like to donate to the Discovery Arts Program, please see https://t.co/Kvcx1BrNbc or call our offices. We are always seeking music and sensory tool donations as well as dedicated volunteers to join our Education Committee. π·

At Young Audiences of Houston, we believe every child and family should have opportunities to experience the arts.
Through our partnership with the Westchase District, YAH brings engaging arts and cultural programming to Camden Park and Woodchase Park, creating opportunities for thousands of families and community members to learn, create, connect, and experience the arts together.
From hands-on workshops and childrenβs activities to performances and cultural experiences, our teaching artists help make the arts accessible in spaces where Houston families already gather.
Weβre proud to partner with the Westchase District to make meaningful arts experiences within reach for all. π
