From land to water, India's solar journey enters a new chapter.

The Cabinet has approved the Pradhan Mantri Surya Sarovar Yojana (PM-SSY) to accelerate the deployment of Floating Solar Photovoltaic (FSPV) projects across the country till FY 2030–31.

With a target of 5,000 MW of floating solar capacity, supported by 10,000 MWh of co-located energy storage, the scheme marks another significant step towards a cleaner, stronger and more resilient energy future.
