Gilman Park was filled with the sound of live music, local vendors, family activities, community organizations, and a bouncy castle! 🏰 🎈

The celebration was full of joy, connection, and community spirit. We were excited to table at the festival, where we handed out temporary YCD logo tattoos, shared resource flyers, and connected with community members of all ages. 🫧 🌟

Today, we honor Juneteenth. Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, resilience, and progress. ❤️💛💚

On June 19, 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, finally learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

Last Saturday, our Housing Team showed up strong at the Home SF Affordable Housing Fair at @usfca and they were kept BUSY! 👏🏾

@usfca We also completed 4 counseling sessions on-site and helped 11 individuals get signed up for follow‑up appointments. Two clients commented on how seen and empowered YCD made them feel in their path to securing housing as single fathers. 🌟 This is real impact in action!
