Just attended the grand opening of YSB’s new Employment Services location in Beacon Hill with my council colleagues @PlanteSteph613 , @laine_johnson1 , Carr and MP @DavidMcGuinty

This new space is a big win for our community—an accessible and welcoming environment where job seekers can find the resources, support, and opportunities they need to succeed. More than just an employment service, it’s a true community hub that helps strengthen our local workforce, connect people with meaningful careers, and support economic growth across Ottawa.

It was incredibly inspiring to see firsthand the impact of these programs through Joy’s story. Hearing how she went through YSB’s employment services and is now thriving was a powerful reminder of the difference these resources make in people’s lives. Her speech was moving and a testament to the hard work and dedication of the YSB team.

A huge congratulations to everyone at YSB for their commitment to helping residents build brighter futures. Proud to celebrate this milestone with you all! 💼🎉👏

Je viens d’assister à l’inauguration du BSJ et de son service d’emploi à Beacon Hill avec mes collègues conseillers municipaux et le député David McGuinty!

Ce nouvel espace est une excellente nouvelle pour notre communauté—un environnement accessible et accueillant où les chercheurs d’emploi peuvent trouver les ressources, le soutien et les opportunités dont ils ont besoin pour réussir. Bien plus qu’un service d’emploi, c’est un véritable carrefour communautaire qui renforce notre main-d’œuvre locale, aide les gens à trouver des carrières enrichissantes et soutient la croissance économique à Ottawa.

C’était incroyablement inspirant d’entendre le témoignage de Joy, qui a suivi le programme du BSJ et s’épanouit aujourd’hui. Son discours était touchant et illustre parfaitement l’impact positif de ces services sur la vie des gens. Un rappel puissant du travail essentiel accompli par l’équipe du BSJ!
