It's time to get Jose Caballero back at short. It's pretty clear that Volpe isn't the answer at short, and it's not going to get any better. Considering all the time they put into playing him, it's a shame he hasn't panned out, but even as somebody who's been rooting for him, it's time.

Ryan Weathers and Carlos Lagrange replacing Paul Blackburn and Ryan Yarbrough in the pen could be lethal.

It already feels like Weathers is slowing down. He was sick last month and lost all that weight. On top of that, he pitched 38 innings last year and 86.2 the year before that. He’s already at 70 this season. Weathers hasn't ever had a full workload in a bit between the majors and minors.

At some point, Max Fried will be back, and since Warren is built up, Weathers seems like the most clear choice to join the pen. Those 79 strikeouts to 20 walks play in there. He and Lagrange can really provide that swing and miss they’re lacking. That and they too can give more than one inning.

This isn't to say that the Yankees won't miss a beat without Judge. That would be absurd. Nobody should feel good about him missing time. It's more to say that, for as bad as this is, at least it's not Josh Donaldson and Billy McKinney in the middle of the order.
