I’ll admit it’s kind of embarrassing to be at flipaclip loop levels of animator at my big age when I wanted to be an actual animator for so long

@Redthemadartist I’m quite a slow animator and some people don’t have to animate their drawings piece by piece. Additionally I used one of the most featureless animation softwares possibly on my phone instead of my drawing tablet. It would’ve certainly taken less time otherwise

@Redthemadartist Thank you so much!! So honestly the easier part for me is the skeleton, I wanna say it took like 1-2 hours? Then the hardest part is animating each section (hair, arms, wings, etc) one by one all the way through, which took about 8 hours. But I fully acknowledge this is my bad

I don’t think you can fully grasp a movement like this just by reading about and looking at it; I had to sit down and do it, very attentively, no tracing just pure logic in each step

Dog run cycle study

This involved animating only the body first, by dividing it into circles and figuring out how each half of the body moved at each part. Then I animated each leg individually. The legs on the far side are staggered by a half frame to look more realistic
