Another reminder this year to kids going to camps:
Seeing some kids "camp schedule" list looking like a grocery list of 15 items. Schools are just taking your money.
If you are a high school player right now looking to do camps:
DO NOT GO TO 10 camps. Go to 3-4 camps and space them out and choose schools that have shown you the most interest at this point.
Keep the main thing...the MAIN THING! Be with your team in the summer. Prepare for a great junior or senior year. PUT IT ON TAPE!!
Pick 1 at the very most 2 mega camps
Pick 1 "Prove you can play there" camp.
Pick 1 " School has shown you the most interest.
🚨 High School Football Recruits 🚨
I can’t reiterate this enough…
Camp season is important
But going to more than 5 camps is usually not helping your recruitment, it’s hurting it.
‼️ Be strategic:
✅ Go where you are realistically recruitable
✅ Go where coaches already have interest
✅ Go where your measurables and film fit the level
Recruiting is about exposure, evaluation, and relationships not collecting camp shirts every weekend
At some point, constantly camping can lead to:
• Fatigue
• Poor performances
• Wasted money
• Missed training time
• Overexposure
A strong offseason of development, quality film, strength gains, speed work, and targeted camps will always carry more value than attending every camp possible.
Work smart, not just busy ✅
I’m a class of 27’ RB/LB who is looking to get recruited. Most coaches that I’ve talked to are saying I wasn’t even on their radar. Let’s change that. I’m a very versatile player who always has a nose for the ball whether it’s on offense or defense. One thing you can always expect from me, is hustle. Looking forward to building relationships with the coaches I’ve met and meeting some more in the up and coming weeks!
Take a chance on me!!

You’re not a hard worker just because you go to all the lifts, meeting and practices. This just means you are doing the minimum.
Understand being the hardest worker in the room means doing extra.

🚨 High School Football Recruits and Parents
Not every camp is the RIGHT camp.
One of the biggest mistakes recruits make during the summer is attending camps simply because they are popular, heavily advertised, or loaded with big name programs.
Be strategic.
Do your homework before signing up for any camp.
Ask yourself:
✅ Does this school realistically fit me academically and athletically?
✅ Have the coaches shown real interest?
✅ Will I actually get quality reps?
✅ Is this camp built for evaluation or exposure?
✅ Does this camp fit my position and recruiting goals?
Mega camps can absolutely provide exposure and opportunities, but recruits also need to understand the reality:
➡️ Hundreds of athletes attend
➡️ Reps can be very limited
➡️ Coaches may only see you for a few snaps
➡️ Standing out becomes much harder without preparation
Sometimes a smaller position specific camp or an individual school camp can provide more meaningful coaching, better interaction, and more direct evaluation opportunities.
Remember this:
Exposure without preparation means nothing.
College coaches are evaluating far more than talent:
🏈 Body language
🏈 Effort
🏈 Coachability
🏈 Competitiveness
🏈 Communication
🏈 How you respond to adversity
Be intentional with your summer plan.
The goal is not to attend the MOST camps.
The goal is to attend the RIGHT camps.
Right Camps.
Right Reasons.
Right Opportunity.
Make this summer count
