Yitz Jordan: world changer, Jewish gay MC in your favorite newsroom. SJW. Social media dev-activist. My goal: to positively impact as many lives as possible.❄️
A call for a new style of Judaism. "Inclusive Judaism". One where ahavat Yisrael/the love of one's fellow Jew supersedes racism, classism, bigotry, homophobia, and other forms of prejudice. And where bigoted rabbis are called out. #Jewish
So everyone knows this is a lie.
But this should give every #Jewish person cause to question every right wing accusation of "paid protester" from here on out.
Far too many people eat those lies up when it's Black causes.
So now American Jews can see, en masse: it's BS.
I hope the world knows people are getting paid $250 to attend the protest for Isr*el in DC today.
All those pro Palestine protests you see? No one got paid a dime to show up to support.
This also reminds me of how I got a lung exam before.
I was having an anxiety attack. Rather than give me meds, the doc goes "let's go through ✨every symptom you have✨ and see if there's another reason."
Shortness of breath? Check for COPD.
I hate mental healthcare sometimes
I hate anxiety attacks.
My eyes feel like they want to explode. I'm finally breathing back to normal. Headache is on and off.
Stomach? Forget about it.
I haven't had one of these in a min and I didn't miss this #anxiety
@plutosavior You're obviously free to not believe, but to look at Scripture, see Deut 29:18-19 and then act like there was "consent of the governed"?
Like even if there WEREN'T...
Also, see Pirkei Avot 4:22. G-d runs the world, not us.
NO WAY IN HELL - "consent of the governed"? You've never seen Deut. 29:18.
There was no "opting out" of Torah, there was no "vote", and even if you THOUGHT "well I don't need to keep the Torah, I'll be ok", you were wrong.
WTF?
Charlie Kirk claims that "the entire book of Deuteronomy is a political book" that tells you "here's how you set up the government, here's how you should separate powers, you should have consent of the governed, you should have an independent judiciary." Um, no it doesn't.
I see people talking about Israel and the disengagement from Gaza in 2005. Someone brought up that Israel still maintained control of air and water space and brought Wikipedia as proof.
I totally had forgotten about the Hamas-Fatah war FOR Gaza

One thing I ❤️ about my friends I grew up with is our ability to talk ABSOLUTE SMUT for HOURS and have it be totally undetectable.
Like we are talking P-HUB LEVEL HORRIBLE SH*T and anyone overhearing would think we're just talking about apples
Detroit police chief on the killing of Samantha Woll: "We believe that there are no other groups or anyone else at risk in regards to this particular incident. We believe that this incident was not motivated by antisemitism and that this suspect acted alone."
When some synagogue or Jewish organization holds a "Jewish unity" event, and the program or partners doesn't include Jews and leaders from every religious movement or every edah (ethnic background of Jews), then it's not really a Jewish unity event. Just sayin
I'm going to judge favorably here and assume that they're addressing the issues.
In a year, a LOT of teaching moments can come up.
If taken advantage of, teaching moments add up.
She could even end up unlearning #antisemitism. ("Letting it go" = no benefit tho.)
THIS is bridge building.
THIS is interfaith.
NO ONE can say these ppl aren't trying.
This family is putting a lot on the line for the sake of bridge building.
If you want to know what "walking the walk" is, it's this.
I hope that girl sees the world differently after this year
New 14-eye @drmartens boots just arrived!
Been wearing these since high school. Repairing my feet after 25 years of Docs took months.
I can't stop wearing them.
Note to self: these are NOT TO BE WORN EVERY DAY. Do NOT wear these every day. Treat these like heels.
Random thought:
"Good morning! I see the lie is still going around."
"Good morning. I see that lie is still up."
"Everybody still repeating that same lie, huh?"
These are evergreen lines that I feel like one could just open up with at random and be right re: #Antisemitism
@Ok_Solly Why would you experience "horror"?
How could they what... celebrate the loss of *human* lives?
At some point, morality/reason/rationality *must* win out, no?
THAT.
This is a BRILLIANT comment I got on Instagram that I think sums up a lot of the cognitive dissonance re: #Antisemitism some people are going through, and also sums up the nexus of American "whiteness" and Yiddishkeit
#Judaism#Torah
@Ok_Solly I hear that, but they're touching on a more fundamental point than "feeling safe" or anything.
It's the expectation of being seen as a human in America.
The expectation that ones humanity is universally perceived. In America.
