I was thrilled to learn that The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Whidbey Island showed Kohola Sings at their Earth Day service, and as a result donated $1,105.00 to @nature_org! This is EXACTLY what the FIVE MINUTES for Earth project is all about!

“A standout release from Kondonassis . . . The theme is a resonant one, and Kondonassis’ composers take it up in fascinatingly varied ways.”

One last end-of-year harp inventory before parking all of @OberlinCon’s harps in their summer storage nook, one last pizza party at Lorenzo’s, and one last yearly wrap-up. Thank you, Oberlin, for 25 gratifying and memorable years.
Attention Teachers! Only a few more days to register for the Maine Coast Harp Institute’s Teacher’s Forum on August 12 and 13. In-person registrations must be submitted by June 1. Please note that VIRTUAL registrations may be submitted until July 10.

As we head into competition season, I thought I might share a blog post I wrote about my experiences as a judge. By nature, competitions in any art form are almost counter to the pursuit of art, but I hope this essay might provide some useful strategies.

As the school year begins coming to a close at @cim_edu, I prepare myself to let some of my chickadees go. Every student is so special and shares a legacy of hard work, spirit, and stunning music as inspiration for those who come after them. Honored to be part of these journeys…
So thrilled to launch my new website today!
Big thanks to David Skudlik for his beautiful design and to my fantastic photographer, Laura Watilo Blake, for tromping through the woods with me and taking such cool and artistic photos!

"Wildflower" will be released as as a FIVE MINUTES for Earth single in a few months - in the meantime, here's a tiny sample!
I have not shouted this from the rooftops, but I slipped on the ice in February and did a pretty good job of injuring my left wrist. After a few nervous weeks and a number of canceled concerts, I will live to play another day. Climbing back in the saddle and feeling grateful ❤️
It’s EARTH DAY! Let’s all take a moment to appreciate the amazing home we call Earth, and do everything we can to care for its future!
I recently talked about earth conservation, FIVE MINUTES for Earth, and lots more with Julie Amacher of @ClassicalMPR:

My first track from my new album, FIVE MINUTES for Earth!
Takuma Itoh’s Koholā Sings – a gorgeous ode to one of nature’s most awe-inspiring creatures, the humpback whale. Did you know the harp can imitate a whale song?
