Did you know? Saturn has a Moon named Enceladus which is mostly covered in fresh clean ice, making it one of the most reflective bodies in the solar system. It reflects 90% of Sun’s light making the temperatures reach as low as -394 degree Fahrenheit!

Happy Eclipse Day everyone!
After many solar education events conducted by the observatory, the day is finally here! Make sure to stay safe with your eclipse viewing today and DONOT look at the sun without eclipse glasses.
Since today is a special day, there will be no Monday night public viewing and there will also be no public tour this Wednesday (April 10th). You can tune in next Monday for Online Public Viewing as usual at 9 pm ET and tours also resume next week as usual.
Great news! The weather is clear today and we are going ahead with our first clear day Solar event. Join us to view the Sun at the top of Arboretum parking garage from 1pm-3pm and get yourselves eclipse glasses.
