It came to my attention this morning that we lost a really good person and friend in the Madden community over the weekend. Scott Sanczyk, or we knew him as EvilerPegasus, was one of the happiest guys that i’ve been around. I just wanted to share this moment from this year when he beat me on ladders. I made a snarky comment to him after the game and he replies back with the funniest reply you could think of. That’s who he was and who I knew him as. I’ll always remember when he abused the stem glitch in CFB 25 to win multiple tournaments, was apart of the highest scoring win and get in game in history, and our battles as well. But what I’ll remember most is who he was as a person and his desire to make everyone around him laugh.
Gone way too soon, life isn’t fair. I’ll miss ya Peg
There’s no way we are boutta play a tournament where every player on defense can have an ability that forces fumbles like we are playing NFL street, right?
There’s also no counter.

Exactly. EA has integrated “competitive” as the standard across all modes and as a result has created a watered down, casual leaning version of it. We need a mode/leaderboard that prioritizes the elements that actually make Madden competitive. One that isn’t tied so closely to MUT rewards and then that standard is what is used for competitive tournaments.
There are only 3 tournaments to qualify for Madden Bowl this season, and in all 3 the game has been hilariously broken when it comes to containing the QB.
This has created zero skill gap offensively when it comes to play calling and making progressions/reads. If that is the direction EA wants to go, then that’s understandable, but that was a major aspect of competitive Madden previously.
So if QB movement is going to be like this in the future, other aspects of skill gap on offense need to be emphasized (taking hits with the QB, throwing into coverage, etc) not just finding what cool moves I can do with my QB.
@litezoutttt@Henry773_@Dcroft While this is true, it won’t deter anyone from spending their entire AP on the QB and doesn’t really change the META or the state of the game.
Yeah I mean there’s multiple problems with the gameplay, as well as how the AP system is, but that requires a team outside of comp to adjust that. I think the competitive team at EA needs to start making sure they are trying to put a quality competitive product out there for the MCS if this is the direction gameplay is headed.
So every other Esport just bans shit that is obviously detrimental to the competitive integrity of the game.
With that being said, at the bare minimum, why don’t we ban the QB doing dribble moves (juking) behind the line of scrimmage?
This allows EA to still clip farm with casual gameplay. @EAMaddenNFL_MCS
Here’s a long message on every issue with Madden 26 on Defense
1. Pass rush feels like I have a D-Line of Madden pros vs. the Cowboys from the 90s.
2. It’s impossible to pick the ball when the WR is equal to or taller than my DB.
3. Every blitz sucks because the TE chips every play and the QB has 1000 speed (I love stunting vs Justin Fields and watching my dline chase after him as he scrambles to the sideline to throw a perfect pass on the run or scramble 10 yards to take a hit stick and not fumble)
4. Abilities on defense just don’t work, meanwhile EA decided in the most recent update where they patched flipping to allow Conductor to do 800 hot routes in 7 seconds.
5. You can pass lead a streak vs. man coverage no matter what, even when the DB is the same speed as the WR or faster.
6. Ball carriers can speed boost every play (why can’t I speed boost with my user on defense?).
7. You’re essentially playing against a custom playbook with the best plays in the game every game.
8. You can move my defensive players with what you do on offense, even if I manually moved them.
9. It’s impossible to stop a curl route at adjusted depths because KOs don’t work and you’ll catch 95% of passes with one yard of space.
10. The QBs are still 100 speed, and if you fumble after taking a hit stick from Kyle Hamilton you got cheated.
This is just off the top of my head. Feel free to add what you think is broken as well.
Congrats to our guys for finishing Top 32 in the MCS Ladders!
