WSU & OSU did this before final settlement was signed in March 2024
Same with CUSA and in 2013 Big East and WAC.

So yes it’s their revenue to use. Legal disputes don't magically freeze money. Final settlement is simply cleaning up a remainder that’s owed to the conference.

MW has been doing this for two years now. The settlement just finalizes the total number.
