Pride weekend is almost here, San Francisco!
This weekend, hundreds of thousands of people will gather to celebrate one of San Francisco’s biggest weekends, culminating with the Pride Parade on Sunday. Before the celebrations, we have some important safety reminders:
Look out for one another. Crowds are expected to be large, so keep an eye on friends and family at all times.
Report anything concerning.
Know that every first responder, city worker, and volunteer is there to help everyone celebrate safely.
Whether you are joining the Trans March on Friday, the Dyke March on Saturday, or walking down Market for Sunday’s Pride Parade—during celebrations across our city, your safety is our top priority. Happy Pride, and let’s go, San Francisco!
Summer is officially here, and so are free summer meals!
Every weekday until August 15, anyone age 18 and under can receive a free breakfast, lunch, or snack at 14 sites in #SanFrancisco.

Out in the heat and looking for relief? https://t.co/JYHRQ0aNIK has you covered! Find drinking fountains, pools, and air-conditioned public spaces all around the city on our Heat Wave Map. Stay cool and hydrated this week!
If your home is uncomfortably hot, consider visiting an air-conditioned public space to cool off, such as libraries, shopping malls, community centers, or swimming pools.
Spring has sprung and it's warming up ☀️ If you're going to be outside this weekend, remember to pack water and sunscreen, wear lighter clothes, and sign up for AlertSF by texting your ZIP CODE to 888-777.
You may be visiting one county and attending big game events in other counties. To get emergency alerts wherever you are, you should opt in to those local alert systems. These local alert systems send timely updates about safety issues, weather, big transit disruptions, and other event impacts.

Many years ago we started teaching all @UCSFMedicine, @StopTheBleed. It has been a great effort in partnership with @zsfg Trauma Service. Many thanks to Sarah Garden, RN. The students now teach the community of San Francisco. Had a great session with 30 people this weekend.
Great news for CalFresh users in San Francisco: November CalFresh benefits are starting to be restored across CA! That means many of you will begin to see your full food benefits back on your EBT cards -- something we’ve all been waiting for. More info: https://t.co/Fyeoj068iR

Good hygiene starts and ends with clean hands.
Many diseases and conditions are spread by not washing hands with soap and clean, running water.
