@LocalBtnMasher@WeijiBeng I think most would argue the heart of L4D is really versus anyway and that would surely be arcade-like? Zero progression systems etc.
@XavierORourke@gdechichi VR is very demanding. On top of the additional rendering required for the stereoscopic effect it also demands even higher framerates as a baseline.

@LocalBtnMasher @GoonerGamesClub gonna assume someone has already mentioned it before but if you've only played doom 1 / doom 2 then yeah you've not played classic doom in its best form. If you dislike mods then at least try to uv-max Plutonia or doom 64, or run the originals on nightmare.
#gamedev experimenting with fps bullet hell again. this pattern got more interesting when the gap in each row is made random. definitely need a walk button now too. wireframe for big bullets is a cheap way to make them transparent but border against the ground could be clearer
@viperwave@HowlingKaya @rapeeshoes @PunkishNano Fear 2 was a huge disappointment. took me five hours to plough through and still felt like it ran out of ideas half way. ...imo the best fear game is perseus mandate: its the base game but more so and I prefer the pacing.
@rohan_x2@lauriewired CPUs used in space are slower than a desktop one for example because of radiation hardening but no, they still run in the millions of cycles per second so 7k over a day is nothing.
