@CarrieGrant1 @BBCNewsnight You’re so very right in all you say. My daughter is almost 18 and has been repeatedly and consistently let down by the SEND system. I’ve had to do all the research myself and do what I can. I’m on my knees and she still needs help. We’re both broken.

@PaulGarvey4 @BBCNewsnight That’s a very fair point. I’m not suggesting Tom Bennett is any kind of saviour for behaviour, I was just saying he made a fair point (mostly) I’m far more in favour of investments in schools to help support SEND children as opposed to paying for pen pushers for ‘ideas’

@PaulGarvey4 @BBCNewsnight I’m afraid I have to agree with Tom Bennett. As a teacher of 27 years, I can tell you that no amount of Govt spin will help schools face the needs they are seeing every day. Budgets are so tight teachers are being laid off, SEND support is squeezed and children suffer.
