Werewolf hot take: I am very against the "practical is better than cg" discourse. Non is better. Thay are complementary to eachother. If the cg looks bad is usually bad direction, super short deadlines or many last minute changes.

In the current industry you usually get one or two days tops per shot. With many useless changes.

@werewolftale they had an amazing suit and they knew it. Very rarely do you se a full practical suit so well lit in almost all the shots it's in

The ideal is to use both. Having the practical on set and use CG for complex movements or enhancements. Or for creative transformations.
