George (He/Him) began his dance career at 16 with ZoieLogic. He earned a first-class honors degree from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2022, working with choreographers like Mathieu Geffre, Akram Khan, and Douglas Thorpe. He later completed a Master’s degree, touring works by KOR'SIA and Faye Tan with VERVE in 2023. Since then, George has taught at institutions such as NSCD, Northern Ballet, and CAPA College, and is currently performing with Holstebro Dansekompagni in Denmark for the 25/26 season.
Participants can expect to undertake an energetic class, warming up with some drills/ technique and some phrase work that has been built around skills developed throughout the class.

@laurendwilliams is a Berkshire based dance artist, a recent graduate from Trinity Laban and current member of ORB Youth Dance Company. She is currently focusing on her professional development and refining her current practice. She is the founder of Indigo Movement Company which she established in 2021 and co-founded Dance Collide in July 2024. She is also a member of RS Dance Company.
Expect high energy contemporary classwork inspired by Lauren’s desire to get people moving, this will include some floorwork, travelling and exercises that rely on physical sensation. Phrases throughout class will be an opportunity for dancers to let go and have fun.

About The Big Movement:

The Big Movement is a brand new monumental mass movement for the men of Southampton and beyond to remind them they are not on their own. Led by ZoieLogic Dance Theatre and featured on BBC’s The One Show, the aim is to raise awareness about men’s mental health through powerful collective force.

Our social events for men* provide a space to connect, reflect, and support well-being—because men’s mental health matters. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for an evening of conversation, community, and unexpected joy.
