@thepatwalls@levelsio Interesting to see the 2025 project FC with 200 hours and 50k revenue (250/hr rev not profit) listed as a failure
Suppose the idea of success or failure changes with time
Have been slacking lately, busy with the kids, work, upcoming family wedding etc
Was able to find my zone 5 zen today
You find time for the things which are important to you… reminder to go get after it
@CarlosBBuild True true, that is the beauty of not having a boss.
I was previously not collecting data but decided if I’m going to put more spend into ads then I want it to be effective.
Good luck to you!
@CarlosBBuild You are getting praise for this but if you want to optimize your funnel then how will you know where to look if you don’t have any analytics?
If it works for you then great, but seems like that would be the exception and not the norm (if you aren’t affiliated w/ big influencer)
I haven’t actually done this but some more established devs talk about localization being one of the few remaining market inefficiencies — aka do it for more than just Thai if you know your product is good
Think you gotta target rich countries with a VPN tho or else will take way longer to find if you have PMF
@ewan_tindale Think you are directionally correct and hit on the issue with giving blanket advice
Each dev/app will have a different issue which would be highest ROI to fix.
Reducing churn is key for building a sustainable business and not just a hot ball of MRR to sell to someone else.
@hydra468 I think they actually destroyed billions of dollars in value by having such a shitty ending
house of the dragon and a knight of the seven kingdoms (prequels) are doing okay, but they could have been the next star wars -- before star wars became sloppy that is
@Spshulem The ultimate delegatemaxxing stack
Pro tip: on sundays have your partner meet with your Fiverr guy to talk about what else you can delegate
Last sunday mine suggested delegating intercourse. Now I can purely focus on building!
Everyone can win with orthogonal thinking.
Clubbing is dead and has been replaced by fitness & wellness.
Ppl used to party to socialize and date but now they do things like HYROX, bathhouses, and running raves.
The death of clubbing is something to be studied:
— US has lost 12% of its nightclubs in the last 24 months
— 25% of US adults didn’t drink at all last year
— Gen Z drinks 30% less than Millennials did at the same age
On the flip side:
— According to Strava, the number of running clubs recorded on the platform increased 3.5x in 2025
— 72% of Gen Z go to run clubs to meet new people
— Sauna and spa market: $11.8B → $22.4B by 2034
The post-alcohol economy is gonna be a massive category.
@TheStalwart I have such disdain for people who like durian. It is so stinky.
Depending on the setting, eating your durian could be like smoking cigarettes in a crowded nonsmoking restaurant. I did NOT consent to olfactory assault.
Durian lovers are dilettantes when it comes to taste.
>cerebrus capital management, that name looks familiar
go look up their saga with steward health if you want a sickening example of brand harvesting besides glassware, shotguns and appliances
tl;dr: 2010 they buy 150-year-old hospital system (steward), sell the buildings out from under it with leaseback agreements and exit ~$800M richer. Then in 2024 it’s the largest hospital bankruptcy in US history.
To be clear, it wasn’t just the PE guys, there was also a scummy physician CEO of the health system buying yachts… but still.
