UTHMAN DAN FODIO WAS NOT ETHNICALLY FULANI
According to J.R Willis, the Torodbe group were rootless and wandering people who adopted political Islam as a tool of identity before they fused with the Fulani ethnicity.
Dan Fodio belong to the Torodbe group who were nomads and were assimilated into the Fulani ethnicity via political Islamism and intermarriage.
According to Finn Finglestad, it is therefore academically incorrect to regard the Dan Fodio Jihad as a Fulani Jihad, it was a Torodbe-Fulani Jihad.
We need to understand the ethnogenesis of the Sahel and I will be doing proper and in depth analysis of this aspect of history.
Dan Fodio was not a Fulani just the way the Yaradua’s are Tuaregs not Fulanis.
The Sultan of Sokoto is not Fulani, he is Torodbe. In the same vein, the Shehu of Borno is Kanembu-Arab not Kanuri.
The Kanembu are Arabized Chadic people who speak Arabic language in present day Chad today.
Most of the aristocratic families in Arewa today are assimilated Arabs, Tuaregs, Torodbes who are using the Fulani identity for convenience.
This gives credence to many of my assertions that what we see in the core North is the frontier agenda for the Arabization of West Africa.

Dear Southern politicians and southerners in general who are competing to choose Fulani politicians as their running mates or political allies: I hope you have seen what happened to Kwankwaso in Rivers State. Please understand that we Hausa people have awakened, and we believe that Southerners and Middle Belt Nigerians are the people who can help us reclaim our political independence from Fulani oligarchy, hegemony, subjugation, terrorism, and banditry.
Dear Southern politicians, please consider allying with Hausa people and helping us free ourselves from Fulani oligarchy, hegemony, subjugation, terrorism, and banditry. Indeed, we regard you as our real brothers. If we have offended you in the past, remember that we also did not fully understand the harm being done to us until now. We Hausa people have been guided by our faith and our desire for peace, while we believe that Fulani have hidden behind religion to oppress us and other ethnic groups in Nigeria. They have exploited religion to divide us and make us unknowingly fight battles that serve their interests.
Dear Nigerians, if Hausa people have offended you because of our past, ignorant cooperation with Fulani political and religious interests, please accept my sincere apology. I, Habibu Yusuf Sodangi, apologize to you on behalf of the entire Hausa people. Please forgive us.
Our message today is not about hatred toward any ethnic group. It is a call for unity, justice, democratic freedom, accountability, and cooperation among Hausa people, Southerners, Middle Belt communities, and all Nigerians who believe that no ethnic or political elite should dominate or oppress others.
The Soviet Union provided jets. Egyptian pilots flew combat sorties, Britain supplied guns, grenades, mortar and artillery. The one major country that wanted to see Nigeria break apart was France, and they supplied money and weapons to the secessionist side.
