The Mamdani campaign really illustrates what I love about NYC- you can be in Harlem at a church in the morning, hit Greenpoint for the marathon, somehow you're at the Knicks game with your boy, then you're at a gay bar in Bushwick. All in a day. The Big Apple baby, take a bite.
NEW | Instagram has removed the verified account of Gaza slain journalist Saleh al-Jafarawi, who had 4.5 million followers.
Archived snapshots of his page on the Wayback Machine, the largest public internet archive, also appear to have been wiped or disabled, raising concerns about digital erasure of Palestinian documentation.
Al-Jafarawi, known for his frontline reporting on the Gaza genocide, had previously faced repeated censorship. He was killed yesterday by an armed group collaborating with Israel.
Observers warn that these developments may signal “a new phase in efforts to erase evidence of Israeli war crimes from the internet.”
UPDATE: A second flotilla was intercepted unexpectedly in the early hours of last night, much further out than the first - it was still 120 nautical miles from Gaza.
Even people on board thought it was probably a false alarm until the very last minute.
Eight sailing boats were boarded between 4.30am and 5.30am local time. A ninth larger ship, carrying nearly 100 journalists and medics, was intercepted shortly afterwards.
This means 145 people, including politicians, journalists and medics, have been kidnapped by Israel AGAIN in international waters and are now in detention.
Based on what we know from last time, they are probably currently detained within their own boats, being sailed slowly back to Ashdod port by dozens of (sea sick and inept) Israeli soldiers.
The first 24 hours after interception were among the most brutal for the majority of people on board the last flotilla. They were forced to kneel for five hours with cable-tied hands, kicked, shouted at and denied access to lawyers.
Updates as they come.

We need to rise up and stop the tech industry by force. Our livelihoods, our culture, and our ecological environment are worth fighting for. I am deadly serious.
Any Labour minister with a conscience or a backbone should resign over this. Imagine being part of a government still sending bullets to a regime whose snipers are shooting kids in the head and whose leaders are wanted by the International Criminal Court.
